Peter Brann Quoted in Leading Patent Blog

IPWatchdog, which bills itself as one of the most-read patent blogs, reached out to counsel who submitted friend-of-the-court briefs and other leading practitioners to comment on the oral argument in the closely-watched U.S. Supreme Court case, United States v. Arthrex, concerning the constitutionality of the Patent and Trademark Appeal Board. Partner Peter Brann’s statement—”Based on the substance and tenor of the questions, I believe that the administrative state will narrowly live to fight another day.” —was the lead-off comment in the article, “Amici and Practitioners Attempt to Read the Arthrex Tea Leaves.” Brann, along with B&I colleagues, partners David Swetnam-Burland and Stacy Stitham, submitted a friend-of-the-court brief in the case on behalf of two of America’s leading golf manufacturers, Acushnet and Cleveland Golf.
