Peter Brann is Guest Lecturer at Cornell Law School


Partner Peter Brann was a guest lecturer at Cornell Law School on Nov. 11, 2021. Addressing the class, The Role of the State Attorney General, Brann spoke about the role of Solicitors General in the U.S. Supreme Court. Brann has co-taught a similar class at Columbia, Harvard, and Yale law schools for the past 12 years. Prior to joining the firm, Brann was the State Solicitor in Maine where he won the National Association of Attorneys General award for Best Brief in the Supreme Court in the landmark case of Alden v. Maine. At Brann & Isaacson, Brann, along with others in the firm, have frequently filed briefs in the Supreme Court and other appellate courts around the country. Brann has also been hired by state attorneys general, defended entities against state attorneys general, and been hired as an expert witness to explain the role of state attorneys general.
