Martin Eisenstein Addresses the Institute for Professionals in Taxation

On November 13, 2019, managing partner Martin Eisenstein presented on the challenges and opportunities of the Supreme Court’s South Dakota v. Wayfair decision at the Credits & Incentives Symposium of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT) in Seattle. He discussed the potential state tax issues for all companies as a result of Wayfair, including not only implications for sales tax collection by retailers, but also gross receipts taxes, state income taxes, and other franchise taxes for any companies doing business outside their home state. Eisenstein also addressed some opportunities that the Wayfair decision presents for companies regarding tax incentives in various states.
