Brann & Isaacson Announces Stacy Stitham as New Managing Partner

Attorney Stacy O. Stitham will become Brann & Isaacson’s new managing partner, effective July 1, 2024. Stitham will succeed Martin I. Eisenstein, who has led the firm for over 20 years with unwavering dedication, steadfastly strengthening the deep roots the firm has with Maine while guiding it to national prominence in various legal practices.

Eisenstein’s tenure as managing partner has been marked by exceptional stewardship of Brann & Isaacson’s financial health and a deep commitment to community involvement. His impact extends beyond Maine, influencing national legal standards, especially in the areas of tax, privacy, and regulatory issues critical to businesses nationwide.

After stepping away from his role as managing partner, Eisenstein will remain a senior partner and continue his role on the firm’s Management Committee. He looks forward to continuing his active practice, providing legal counsel to the many clients who have come to rely on his advice and representation over his decades with the firm.

“Every successful firm needs a thoughtful succession strategy for a leadership change. Over the past year, Stacy and I have worked closely to ensure a seamless transition, following a plan developed by the late George Isaacson and myself,” said Eisenstein. “Stacy’s extensive background and leadership in both firm management and community board service has prepared her to hit the ground running and continue our legacy of excellence.”

Stitham, a current partner at Brann & Isaacson, brings a wealth of experience in both legal practice and firm management. Her leadership roles in the legal community are extensive: she recently served as the President of the Maine State Bar Association and remains on its Board of Governors, sits on the Board of the Maine Justice Foundation, is a former Board Chair of Pine Tree Legal Assistance, and taught business law at Thomas College. She holds a bachelors degree from Harvard College and is a graduate of Harvard Law School, graduating with honors from both institutions.

“Working alongside Marty for the past year has given me invaluable insight into what it takes to lead a firm,” said Stitham. “This is an exciting time to step into leadership as a new generation of attorneys begin to put their mark on Brann & Isaacson.”

Brann & Isaacson, which has served clients across the nation for nearly 100 years, is excited to enter this new chapter under Stitham’s leadership, confident that her vision and expertise will continue to drive the firm forward.
